Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank Mr. McClatchie?
A.
•
Yes.
Q Mr. von Kobza-Nagy told us yesterday that he went to the bank with
the intention of opening a new account. He got a signature card
which I will show you in a moment and he printed thereon "General
Agency Immigration Department" and he put on the required speciman
signature. He told us that when he made that submission to you you
suggested that it would be better from your point of view if instead
of having the account under that title he called it Kobza Art Studios
No.2 is that correct?
A.
That is so.
Q.
Is this the card?
A. (After examining it) Yes, that is it.
Q.
A.
Mr. Kobza, are there any questions which you wish to put to Mr.
McClatchie?
No, but yesterday when you Lordship told me to put down the name of
persons who might put up security for me I said I would not like to
appragch anyone. Yesterday I was not in a position to do it but I
am now in the position and I have brought with me a cheque.
Q. This does not affect Mr. McClatchie?
A. Not at all.
Chairman:
A.
Then Mr. McClatchie you may go and thank you.
Mr. Kobza, you say that now, operating on the evidence you
gave us yesterday you are in a position to give security in the sum
of $5000?
I have $3000.
And you have a cheque there as evidence of good faith?
